BriLLA: Bringing Latino Leaders Adelante

For Donors

El Centro de Conexión is proud to partner with community members like you to provide multiple $500 BriLLA scholarships for local Latino/a students attending Chippewa Valley Technical College, UW Eau Claire, and other post-secondary institutions. Our target disbursement date for the first of these exciting new scholarships is in the Spring of 2018, with scholarships awarded annually thereafter.  

With your help, we can help bring Latino/a leaders to the forefront at our local post-secondary educational institutions. We hope you will join us in supporting those who contribute so much to our local and regional economies.

El Centro de Conexión de Chippewa Valley is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and your donation may be tax-deductable. Documentation will be sent to each donor upon receipt of donation.


For Students

Beginning in 2018, El Centro de Conexión de Chippewa Valley will offer two (2) $500 BriLLA (Bringing Latino Leaders Adelante) scholarships, which seek to support the preparation of tomorrow's Latino leaders through the pursuit of higher education. El Centro is excited to inspire growth from within the Latino community of the Chippewa Valley through education. 

Who should apply:
El Centro de Conexión invites Latinx high school seniors and undergraduate students residing within a 60 mile radius of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, whose educational and career goals align with its mission: to create a safe and inclusive community of diverse cultures through education, celebration and collaboration. Students attending, or planning to attend  Chippewa Valley Technical College and UW-Eau Claire, as well as students residing in the Chippewa Valley with educational pursuits in other areas are strongly encouraged to apply.

     Academic Standards [2.75 cumulative GPA (college or high school)]
The application period for the 2018 BriLLA Scholarship has closed. Please check back in early 2019 for information regarding the 2019 BriLLA Scholarship application.
The scholarship recipients will be notified prior to El Centro's Annual Meeting to be held on April 6, 2018 at Chippewa Valley Technical College. Part of this year's annual meeting will include the BriLLA Scholarship recognition.
